BUMBO!

Addie loves her bumbo! I don't remember them having these when Ava was little, so this is our first Bumbo experience. It's amazing to me that she sits in it so well. She loves to sit up like a big girl!

The last 5 days have been a bit of a nightmare. Ever since she got her 2 month shots, it's been a struggle. She wasn't eating well, she wasn't napping well, and she was fussy constantly. We finally figured out that it had been since she had her shots. Today has been much better! I think she is finally starting to feel so much better.

Last nite was Ron and Kay's 50th anniversary party. It was a smashing success! It was our first get together with all the children, so it was a bit chaotic. We decided that soon the children would out number the adults and then we don't know what we will do! With all the chaosis we didn't get a photo of all 3 of the new babies. But I did manage to snap a few shots.......

2 month check up.....

I have to say this is the cutest photo I've ever taken of Addie. She's so stinkin' adorable! Today was her 2 month check up. She's growing, not quite like her cousin Gracelynn, but growing none the less. Today she weighed 10 lbs 3 oz and was 22 inches long. She's following the growth curve along the 25th percentile. She's our tiny girl! We are so excited for this weekend......We are having Grandma Kay and Grandpa Ron's 50th wedding anniversary party and all the new babies will be there! I'm sure there will be tons and tons of photos taken, so they'll be posted soon! And what an awesome occasion to be celebrating. 50 years of marriage is an amazing accomplishment. Addison had to have some shots today. She was not happy. Daddy had to hold her. As soon as she was done I tried to rip her out of his arms and comfort her, but he snuggled her first. I think it's harder on us than it is on her!

We've been talking to Ava on the phone everyday. We miss her so much! Addie will have changed so much by the time Ava gets back. She will be coming back March 7th. That day can't come soon enough. I miss my little clone so much! Apparently she's got a case of pink eye right now. Last night when I spoke to her I said, do you have pink eye honey? She replied with......no mommy I have red eye! hahaha. I couldn't stop laughing.

She's been smiling at us for awhile now, but I was never able to get it on camera.....finally I have succeeded! Here are a fwe photos of her smiling.

She's our happy girl!

We're all sick

Addison threw up her bottle this morning...again! I guess it's all the phlegm that gets in her tummy. Poor thing. Cody and I are still getting sicker. We share everything as a family! But last night Addison had a bottle at 9:45, went to sleep, and didn't wake up until 5am! It's the longest she's gone without having a bottle at night. It was fantastic. Right now we are working on getting her to bed earlier. It's been a slow process but we are getting there. We can't complain too much. Thus far she's been a fairly easy baby. Also, we are working on taking naps in her crib.

She is a cuddlie baby and just loves being held.

We cherish our quiet time. Before you become a parent you never realize how valuable quiet time is. Ava is rarely quiet, as you all know, she LOVES to talk! haha. I think when she returns I will have to institute a mandatory hour quiet time! Ava doesn't take naps anymore, so I haven't seen that quiet time in a long time. But I think to keep my sanity we'll have to figure something out!

I'm so tired of all this snow and ice. I hate winter. I've hated it for a long time and this winter just solidified my hatrid for it. The only reason I'm here is because my whole family is here. I've tried to talk them all into moving to Florida, but no one seems to want to go along with that. Maybe when the kids get out of high school we'll move somewhere warmer!

Seems like a good idea....

Well I've decided that it's a good idea to blog. Several of my siblings have started doing it and it's a great way for everyone to keep in touch and learn about all the updates!

Addison is now 6 1/2 weeks old. She is growing so fast. I love seeing her grow, but I'm the kind of mom who's not sure she can ever let her babies leave the house! I'll be following the girls to college unless Cody keeps me under lock and key! haha. Ava is visiting her Dad in Washington right now and we are missing her desperately. We talk to her constantly on the phone. She is missing her little sis very much. She is so great at helping out with Addie. She loves to feed and burp her, but is not so keen on changing her diapers! I absolutely love being a mother of two. Cody lights up when his girls are near. We wouldn't have it any other way! Addison has been sick the last week. And over the last 2 days she has managed to get me and Cody sick as well. I feel so bad because there's really nothing we can do for her. Addie and I took our second trip to the YMCA today. Hopefully we can make it our regular routine. She has been smiling all the time, but I have yet to capture this on film!

This month is our 1st anniversary. The last year we have been tremendously blessed. I am so thankful for all that has happened in our lives. We got married and created a family of 3, then became pregnant, our nephew Aidan was born, Cody accomplished his dream of becoming a police officer, we moved to Atlantic, my sister was married adding another brother in law and a little girl, Addie was born, our niece Gracelynn was born, and then our nephew Jacen was born. It has been one heck of an amazing year. Praise God for all He has given us. We love our life and love sharing it with all of you. For our anniversary we want to get one of the new Flip video cameras, so soon we will have videos of the girls! Stay tuned for the many adventures we're sure to have in the next year!
